Keep Your Kids Healthy This Holiday Season

Somehow it jumped from Halloween to Thanksgiving 🤯, and now the holiday season is upon us! This means one thing for my household: do anything we can to keep the kids healthy.

The last few months everyone’s back to battling one sick kid after another. From RSV to covid to flu, it feels like it never ends. In order to make it through the season, I’m focused on the benefits of Super Kids and other important basics to  keep us healthy.

Superkids

We formulated this probiotic specifically with kids in mind. It is a 3-in-1 probiotic, prebiotic, Vitamin D blend to support immunity, brain development, and teeth and bone development.* My kids love to shoot this straight from the packet OR you can mix it into a drink. Just make sure they drink the entire thing.

Be the Hand-Washing Witch

This may seem like an obvious tip we have been hearing since we were kids… but that’s because it’s real. Yes, hand-washing can be annoying, and yes I have to remind them multiple times a day, but it’s a must.

Mask Up

If you are traveling for the holidays and have kids of mask-appropriate ages, force it. The only thing worse than being sick is being sick on vacation. I hate it, the kids hate it, but feeling like crap for a week is way worse than wearing a mask for three hours.

Immune Boosting Smoothies

According to The Cleveland Clinic, the vitamins and minerals below should be top of mind when trying to keep your kids healthy. Smoothies are a great way to get your kids to consume a handful of these vitamins with one sip. Outlined below are foods to stock up on to get the recommended vitamins.

  • Vitamin C: Oranges
  • Vitamin E: Kiwi
  • Vitamin A: Mango
  • Folate: Papaya
  • Iron: Strawberries
  • Selenium: Kiwi
  • Zinc: Blackberries

Cheers to healthy families this holiday season!
